For Fabrizio Bosso, music wasn’t just a family heritage: it was written in his DNA.
In addition to having several musicians as family members, it’s his father Gianni, amateur trumpet player, who’ll set the spark by introducing him to jazz for the first time.
Fabrizio was only five years old when he began playing the trumpet and by the time he turned fifteen, he had already graduated from Turin Conservatory of Music. In the years to follow, he explored a wider range of musical genres even though throughout his career, he always stayed true to his jazz “calling”.
Today, his flawless technique combined with an extraordinary lyricism have earned him the capability of playing the most intimate strings of the human soul.
Fabrizio recorded several albums with different line ups but he also appeared as special guest in other fellow artists records, approaching each collaboration as an opportunity for growth and as a source of inspiration to enrich his own personal language.
Throughout his professional career, Fabrizio always took the opportunity to work with both well-established music icons and budding young talents, feeding a positive cycle of inspiration, sharing of knowledge and creativity.
Tireless and self-disciplined just like the beacon of excellence that he is, Fabrizio regularly plays shows around the world, bringing on stage his unique style combining the melodic elements typical of his Italian heritage, mixed with the international influence of the Afroamerican tradition. On top of it, he adds up his innate curiosity and receptiveness for anything new and fresh shaking up the music scene.
Very much aware of his own musical identity yet, open-minded and innovative, this talented trumpet player from Turin has chosen music as his own language and as a way to convey, together with the people he shares the stage with, his narrative and perspective on the world to his ever-growing audience.
